This body is created on October 16th, 1745 at the request of ALEXIS MAGALLON DE LA MORLIERE. By his(its) promotion(class) in the rank of Marshal of France in February, 1749, at this date he(it) leaves his(its) regiment, we take on this occasion advantage to group(include) certain light troops: the arquebusiers of GRASSIN, and the BRETON Volunteers to train(form) the VOLUNTEERS OF FLANDERS. To encourage the actions(shares) of bravery of the privates Alexis de la MORLIERE had the idea to create a reward(award) " the order of the Knights Activists ". This body is specialized in " the small war ".

He(It) consists as follows:

700 men(people) on foot distributed in 2 companies of 50 pomegranate trees and 6 companies of 100 riflemen, 300 gone(taken) up dragons distributed in 6 companies of 50 men(people). The companies on foot consisted of: 1 colonel without company, 1 lieutenant colonel without company, 1 chief warrant officer(major company), 2 helps(assistants) chief warrant officers(major companies), 1 chaplain, 1 surgeon, 2 captains of pomegranate trees, 2 captains in the second, first 2 lieutenants, 2 lieutenants in the second, 4 sergeants, 6 corporals, ansepessades 6, 84 pomegranate trees and the drums, 9 captains of riflemen, 9 captains in the second, 9 first ones lieutenants.9 lieutenants in the second, 9 under lieutenants 36 sergeants, 9 captains of weapons, 54 corporals, ansepessades 54, 36 workers, 711 riflemen and drums.

Companies of Dragons 10 captains, 10 lieutenants, 10 cornets, 10 marshals of lodging houses, 30 sergeants, 470 dragons and drums. On June 22nd, 1746 the riflemen of the MORLIERE start a campaign in Flanders. In August with the GRASSINS they take HUY and invest LIÈGE. In September they operate in High Meuse, then mask MAËSTRICHT during the investment of NAMUR. On September 15th they fly to aid of the GRASSINS. They throw the PANDOURS in the Meuse. On October 11th it is RAUCOUX or they seize the Dutch artillery. After his brilliant led during the battle of RAUCOUX the body of THE MORLIERE sees itself endowed with 2 rooms of artillery in the Swedish and with a box with ammunitions.

August 1st, 1749 creation of the VOLUNTEERS OF FLANDERS established of the ARQUEBUSIERS OF GRASSIN, the BRETON VOLUNTEERS, and the RIFLEMEN OF THE MORLIERE. The DRAGONS OF THE MORLIERE were the first French body imitating in it the VOLUNTEERS OF SAXONY to carry the helmet.

HAT: braided black money(silver), white knot.
HAIR: powder.
BRANDENBURG: red, flake money(silver).
AIGUILETTE: money(silver).
JACKET: red, stripe(braid) money(silver).
BANNER: carmine, double stripe(braid) money(silver).

HELMET(HEADPHONES): of iron. Golden fleur-de-lis(lily flowers), headband(banner): scarlet, crossed of black leather. White knot.
